Ultrasonic Sensors
Ultrasonic sensors use sound waves to detect an object, so they are not affected by the colour or transparency of the object to be detected. They are used predominantly to detect clear materials like glass or film and for liquid level control. Using sound rather than light makes ultrasonic sensors ideal for applications in dirty or dusty environments where photoelectrics are not suitable. Our range of Ultrasonics from M.D. Micro Detectors are available in M18, M30 and Cubic housings with direct detection and retro ranges from 30mm to 6m but we also offer a miniature through beam version with a 300mm range which is ideal for applications in the woodworking industry. Models are available with analogue output for measurement applications.
